Background
Vital Energi is a UK leading provider in delivering sustainable and smart energy solutions. Glass began providing heat networks for social housing projects but has evolved with Vital’s Lighthouse to provide metering, billing and maintenance services for all utilities: electricity, gas, heating, cooling and water. As a business that manages increasingly complex, multi-site energy systems, they needed a digital partner to help enhance the experience for both residents and landlords as well as a software solution to enable their team to manage the services they provide.
Challenges
Vital Energi needed a way to visualise energy consumption and account balances at both the property and site level.
The ability to calculate credit and debit per meter, per tariff was critical for transparent and fair billing.
Their customer service and technical teams needed admin panels to support users, manage devices, and quickly resolve issues.
With systems spread across diverse developments, they needed a solution that could adapt to their infrastructure, integrate with their operations, and scale across new projects.
Solution
Our core Glow platform was integrated with their CRM and billing database while providing real-time monitoring, analytics, alerts, identity management, authentication and direct payments. In addition, Hildebrand developed custom front-end applications for their customers, energy consumers and their support team. Furthermore, Hildebrand created a tailored hardware solution: a heat interface control board to integrate with their vTherm heat interface units.
